Robin is a graphic designer, illustrator and creative. She's now living in New York, but she loves Canada, the place where she grew up. Robin believes that her greatest achievement is publishing her own books: a new one is coming out in October, check it out on her website!

Was it always your dream to pursue a career as an illustrator and artist?
My parents would always tell me this story about my kindergarten class. They said that the teachers would bring the parents to a big wall with all the drawings on it from the kids in the class. They picked my drawings out right away. My kindergarten teacher said look she's drawing all these details on her stick figures that the other kids are missing — put her in art classes right away. So I guess it's been always something that I had to do.

What are your favourite fanzines and magazines?
I really love Nieves, Benjamin is amazing! My cousin Ryan makes some awesome paper zines of his photos. Also the magazine Dot, Dot, Dot. I love ANP Quarterly too. I guess I just treasure the collection of zines that my friends have given me over the years. I like trading zines in the mail because no one really mails anything anymore.
